Anthony Ramos and Daisy Edgar-Jones are 'grateful' to be in Twisters

Twisters actors Anthony Ramos and Daisy Edgar-Jones open up about the pressure of rebooting a cult classic and their faith in director Lee Isaac Chung’s vision.

The pressure of starring in a reboot can be immense, especially when the last film was released more than two decades ago. But for actors Anthony Ramos and Daisy Edgar-Jones, the recent release is a perfect one. Twisters (an independent sequel to the 1996 film, twister), there was an opportunity to bring this cult classic to a younger audience.

“This film came out before I was born. So, I have a very good relationship with the film. [older] “This film was born out of a relationship between me and this film,” says Edgar-Jones. He was excited to work on the remake.

“I saw the original film and was totally entertained. I was thinking, ‘God, how amazing it would be to make this now,’ and I had the same experience a lot of people had when they saw the 1996 film for the first time,” said the 26-year-old actress, who is working on a sequel for the first time in her career.

However, this isn’t Ramos’ first rodeo. The actor has been a part of several franchises such as Transformers and the 2018 remake a star was born“I don’t do it on purpose. I don’t look for such films,” he told us. He also added that the way to not feel burdened by the success of previous films is to stay focused on the current project.

“You just go into it. It’s just you and your actors. That’s it; we have each other. You hope your director has a vision and in this case, Lee Isaac Chung (director) had a clear vision. You just trust [that]I am very happy to be a part of this film. I think we had all those qualities,” he said.
