Arijit Singh brought British pop star Ed Sheeran on stage during his concert in London. After this, both of them sang Ed Sheeran’s hit song Perfect together.
Ed Sheeran’s collaborations with Indian artistes are on the rise. After performing a concert together with Diljit Dosanjh in Mumbai earlier this year, the Perfect hitmaker recently joined Arijit Singh at a show in London. Arijit shared the photos
On Monday, Arijit took to his Instagram handle and expressed his gratitude to Ed Sheeran, who added the “perfect” touch to his show held on September 15.
“#london thank you for coming along so gracefully last night. Love and gratitude #arijitsinghlive Thank you @teddysphotos for the #perfectmoment (red heart emoji),” she captioned the post, adding a few pictures from the show.
Fans who attended the concert also shared videos of the duo’s performance on X. Arijit called Ed Sheeran on stage to surprise him, before the two sang Ed Sheeran’s hit track Perfect together, much to the live audience’s delight. An X user shared a video of their performance and wrote, “Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ collaboration deflected an asteroid and saved the Earth!” Another posted, “#ArijitSingh x #EdSheeran was not on my 2024 bingo list!! (pink heart emoji).”
A third tweet read, “Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran singing ‘Perfect’ live in London is a memorable moment!” “Arijit Singh can sing Perfect, but can Ed Sheeran sing Channa Mereya?” (crying emoji) said one person. “#ArijitSingh outdid Ed Sheeran on his song #Perfect. It’s called owning a song. Even Ed Sheeran was shocked to hear Arijit’s version of his song (red heart emoji),” said another tweet.
Ed’s visit to India
In March 2024, Ed came to India and performed in Mumbai for the final leg of his -=/x Tour (Mathematics) as part of his Asia and Europe Tour, 2024.
During his visit to India, Ed Sheeran also met superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Photos and videos of the two meetings went viral in no time. Shah Rukh taught him his iconic signature pose, while Ayushmann made him taste his mother’s handmade pinni (Punjabi sweet).
He also appeared on comedian Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix India, and the chat show Breakfast with Champions with cricketer Rohit Sharma and host Gaurav Kapur.
