Azad Movie Review: Azad has finally hit the theaters. Along with Azad, two star kids are making their Bollywood debut: one is Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, and the other is Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aman Devgn. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, Piyush Mishra and TV actor Mohit Malik. The name of none of these actors in the film is Azad, but it is the horse of Ajay Devgn’s character. The entire story of the film revolves around this horse. Get a detailed review of the movie below in terms of acting, direction, and more.
the story
The story of the film is based on the pre-independence era, where there is a carefree village boy named Govind. The villages are occupied by zamindars, and one of these zamindars has a beautiful daughter named Janaki. He wants to marry his daughter to the son of Englishman Cumming, due to which he is fulfilling every demand of Englishmen. He is also occupying the villages by vacating them for the British. Not only that, the people of the village who are unable to pay taxes, are being taken captive by the British and sent to South Africa.
Apart from this, Messiah Vikram Thakur is also in the film. Azad has two love stories, one starring Vikram Thakur and the other Govind, set in different eras. After the death of Vikram Thakur, the situation in the film has changed. This incident changes Govind. The story ends with an exciting race, winning which Govind not only becomes the hero of his village but also frees the villagers from taxes.

acting
Aman Devgan has definitely worked hard for his debut film, like horse riding, dancing and more. Rasha Thadan also impresses with her looks, however, her screen time in the film is quite limited. The only weak aspect is the romantic chemistry between her and Aman Devgan. Meanwhile, both the new artists have worked hard on their pronunciation, which is clearly visible in the film. Ajay Devgn’s character will remind you of his character in ‘Diljale’. His death is the most important and emotional turning point of the film.

Diana Penty has acted honestly, but her character lacks substance. While Mohit Malik has excelled in the negative role, Piyush Mishra’s work in the film was good. Direction: Abhishek Kapoor has directed and written the film. The film is presented well on the big screen, but the story is sharp. Same story of a rich girl and a poor boy, oppressed by the rich and an unjust father marrying off his daughter against her will.

Despite the strong acting, the story becomes cumbersome at several parts. The length of the film could have been shortened, which is currently 2 hours 27 minutes. The direction is commendable at some places, the emotional scenes are quite stunning. decision
Overall, ‘Azaad’ has a weak start and the film takes a lot of time to establish new people in the story. Due to weak script and lack of romantic angle, it did not manage to attract the audience much. Still, strong acting can be given a chance in the film.
