Blake’s 2005 upcoming film The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants co-stars – America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel – previously released a statement in support of Blake.
“We are struck by the reality that even a woman as strong, distinguished, and resourceful as our friend Blake may face tremendous retaliation if she dares to demand a safe working environment. We are inspired by our sister’s courage to stand up for herself and others,” read the statement.
The lawsuit not only targets Baldoni, but also key figures in his production company, including head producer Jamie Heath, Wayfarer co-owner Steve Sarowitz, and several others. Blake elaborated on the allegations that Justin intentionally wanted to damage Blake’s reputation by running a “social manipulation” campaign. This caused losses to Blake’s business and caused “severe emotional distress” to his family.
It Ends with Us, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling 2016 novel, was released in August, but came under a lot of scrutiny over an alleged rift between the actor and director.
