Actor Yogi Babu’s upcoming film with director Chimbudevan, boathas a new release date.
On Monday, the makers of the film released a new promo video and announced that the film will release in theatres on August 2.
Just like the teaser released earlier, the promo also gives a glimpse of the story before independence, in 1943 when Japan bombed Madras Presidency. The story is about 10 strangers who board a boat to seek refuge in the Bay of Bengal. The extremely diverse group on the boat and Yogi Babu’s sailor character are forced to make a tough decision when they have to let three people off the boat to save the rest.
Also written by Chimbudevan, boat It also stars Gouri G Kishan, MS Bhaskar, Chinni Jayanth, Chams, Jessie Fox-Allen, Madhumitha, Sha Ra, Kollapuli Leela and Akshatha Das in pivotal roles.
The film, which has music composed by Ghibran, will have cinematography by Madhesh Manikkam, editing by Mani Maran, production design by T Santhanam and art direction by S Ayyappan. boat It is produced by Mali & Maanvi Movie Makers and Chimbudevan Entertainment.
