
Bobby Deol, who made a powerful return with ‘Azram‘Recently shared why he kept his role secret from his father Dharmendra and brother Sunny DeolKnown for his first “hero” roles, Bobby initially hesitated how his family would react to his bold and controversial character in the crime-drainage.
In the grand unveiling of the much awaited trailer for ‘Ek Badnaam Ashram Part 3’ in Mumbai, Bobby considered how the role became a game-changer in his career, but was not an easy option to make.
“I knew they would question me”
Speaking at the event, Bobby admitted that he feared that his family could not get his decision approved. “I knew I would no longer be offered to the hero roles, that is why I did not tell my family about accepting the show. I wanted them to see it first and then react,” he Revealed, according to the free press journal.
He further said, “The subject of Afram was such that if I had told my parents or my brother, he asked,” Why are you doing this? ” A significant departure from traditional roles was known for Bobby.
His wife’s silent support
While Bobby kept the role secret from Dharmendra and Sunny Deol, he accepted his wife, who was standing on his behalf. “He asked me to rely on his tendency,” Bobby shared, saying that his encouragement played a big role in his decision to take a dip.
Despite the controversial nature of Afaram, Bobby believed in the project message, which highlights the real issues within the society, and was ready to take risks.

Bobby’s fear was placed to relax when the show was released. “My mother praised my performance and started receiving calls from friends. My father also received a message from his well -wishers, and Sunny was filled with the messages of the people who appreciated my work, ”Bobby said.
Fans and his family’s heavy support seemed to be a dream come true. The actor expressed deep gratitude to director Prakash Jha, who took a chance on him when the industry started typing him.
A new chapter for Bobby Deol
Bobby Deol sees his role in Afram as the beginning of a new chapter in his career. While he has been appreciated for his villain roles, he is selective about choosing characters that provide depth and complexity.
Directed by Prakash Jha, Ashram follows the story of Baba Nirala (starring Bobby Deol), a self-style Godman who uses religion as a mask for crime, deceit and manipulation. Pahanawa artists include Chandan Roy Sanyal, Adati Pohnkar, Tridha Chaudhary, Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka, Rajiv Siddharth and Esha Gupta.
The second part of the third season of EK Badnaam Aashram is set to premiere on the MX player on February 27, 2025. Fans can expect more plays, mystery and shocking twists with the story coming out.
