Jolie was paid an eight-figure sum
Following their separation in 2016, Pitt revealed that Maleficent Ettore had suggested he buy a stake in the winery and that their “discussions were progressing intermittently as of January 2021.” Brad and his team reached a “very advanced stage” in discussing deals and reaching pricing. Court documents revealed that Pitt had offered her a deal worth $54.4 million. This amount was to be paid over six years, with $46 million to be paid initially and the remaining $8.4 million to be paid in installments.
However, Pitt said that Angelina withdrew from negotiations “expressing concern over the terms of the proposed non-disparagement agreement regarding the deal”. His lawyer alleged, “It was just an excuse.” In reality. [Angelina] And Novell had secretly made a deal with a third party: the Stoli Group, owned and controlled by the Russian billionaire, Yuri Sheffler, and his subsidiary Tenue del Mondo.
The lawyer further said, “During the conversation [Brad] While still running, Terry Bird, as manager of Novell, executed a confidentiality agreement. [Stoli] which requires [Stoli] “Also keeping confidential the fact that discussions and/or negotiations are taking place regarding the proposed transaction,” reports InTouch.
Pitt said that Jolie was obliged to inform him of any developments but that Jolie and her colleagues at Stoli kept him in the dark. “On September 24, 2021, the defendants executed their fraudulent scheme,” their lawyers wrote. [Stoli] Agreeing to buy Novell (and thus its interest in Miraval) [Angelina] For $64 million.”

Jolie’s statement of desire to exit
In a statement, Angelina denied Pitt’s claim that any third party was informed about the sale. She sent him an email on January 21, 2021, saying she wanted to be dropped from a $350 million counter-suit filed against him for misappropriation of Novell assets.
“I have tried to be open to business, viewed it as something that could be positive for our family, and so have not shied away from it,” she wrote in the email. I hoped that somehow it could become something that would keep us together and bring us light and peace. Now I see how you really wanted me out and you will be very happy to receive this email.”
He added, “Over the last four years I have seen a lot of reckless behavior, money spent in ways I don’t approve of, and decisions made on which I was not consulted. I have been hurt by decisions that show no interest in sharing the business or fundamentally changing it into something that is healthy for our children.
The actor further added, “Most of all, I was shaken by the recently released picture of selling liquor. I find it irresponsible and not something I would want kids to see. Angelina said, it reminded me of painful times. “All this tells me very clearly that the view you and others in the business have is not one I can share. I do not feel that I can be publicly or privately involved in any alcohol-based business when alcoholic behavior has caused such deep harm to our family.”
The Mission: Impossible actor denied the allegations and the case is still ongoing.
