News of Spears and Jaden’s reconciliation surfaced on Monday when an insider told the outlet that “they’ve been spending a lot of time together.” Another source shared that the teen is now “back in California,” where the 42-year-old singer lives. Jaden’s return to the state comes after moving to Hawaii with his father and 19-year-old brother Sean Preston Federline.
Another insider told the outlet that ‘Britney is thrilled to have her baby back,’ adding, ‘Everything is moving in the right direction.’ Meanwhile, Shawn is still living with his father and stepmother, Victoria Prince. However, according to Kevin’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, Jaden and Spears’ reconciliation is “news” to Kevin. “If there has been a reconciliation, that’s news to Kevin,” he told TMZ.
News of the Gimme More singer’s alleged patch-up with her son comes six months after she and Preston got together on Mother’s Day. At the time, Kaplan called it a “good sign.” “Obviously, reconciliation/reunification is somewhat complicated and it may be a process that may take some time,” he told Page Six in June.
During a rare interview in September 2022, Jaden addressed his troubled relationship with Spears. “I 100 percent think it can be fixed. It’s going to take a lot of time and effort,” he told Britain’s ITV. “I just want him to get better mentally. When she gets better, I really want to see her again. At the time, he also shared that he did not like Spears sharing nude photos of herself online. “It’s almost like he has to post something on Instagram to get some attention,” Jaden said.
