In a hero-obsessed film industry, it’s refreshing to see films that highlight the unsung heroes of filmmaking. Kannada five movies compilation bts (behind the scenes)) is a realistic exploration of the ordinary lives of people with extraordinary dreams.
first short, Banigandu Alley Allied (A line from Dr. Rajkumar’s evergreen song) Premada Kanike), shows how a film lover draws a line between cinema and reality. Mimicking his favorite star’s dialogues and behaving like the characters played by his favorite actor, a young boy is living an illusion until reality dawns on him.
The son of a brass trumpet player, he feels remorse for his actions as his father has to endure public humiliation. The film has an emotional core, but director Prajwal MR treats his subject like a thriller. He increases the tension with the loud music as the plot keeps you hooked till the end. The film references Rajkumar’s cult classic bangarda man As the director advocates getting inspired by films for the right reasons.
second short, Coffee, cigarettes and lines, Directed by Sai Srinidhi, It reflects the struggle of upcoming writer-directors who strive for originality. They are often faced with stars or producers who want tried and tested formulas. In this film, a hero is still having a hangover from the 2016 blockbuster film Kirik Party And wants such fun romantic drama. He fails to understand the difference between an artistic film and a satirical comedy.

Story: A compilation of five films on ordinary people who live and breathe cinema.
In the short film we see four stories, in which the director attempts to convince the hero to work with him. In one story, actress Medini Kelmane is outside the park upset about how her body, not her abilities, has become her identity. This short film takes a dig at the current intolerance towards topics like caste and religion in films. The story of a young man trying to end his desires is great. The idea of four stories in one small book may seem daunting on paper, but Coffee, Cigarettes and Lines Subtle writing helps.
hero Kuldeep Cariappa’s collection is the simplest short story in this collection. The film is about a ragpicker boy who dreams of becoming a star. It’s a lovely story told with realism, as Kuldeep pursues his world-building goals.
We see how someone who earns just to survive has his ambitions beyond his reach. However, what happens when you get a small opportunity to experience something you thought was unattainable? However, the ending climax may leave people divided. How would you like a person to look in a hopeless scenario? Will you give him hope for better days to come? Or would you expect him to accept his bitter truth and enjoy the small joys of life?

fourth short, Movie From Rajesh N Shankhadh, Attempts to understand the inner pain of a writer as he attempts to finish that one “perfect” script. This ambitiously shot black-and-white short leaves a lot to decode. When we hear the inner dialogue of the protagonist, who works hard to overcome writer’s block, it brilliantly uses the device of the voice of the mind. This short film appears to be a visual representation of Ernest Hemingway’s famous quote on writing which says: “There is nothing in writing. You just sit at the typewriter and bleed.”

final short, Sumoha, An excellent short film directed by Apoorva Bhardwaj. Be it a shooting spot, event or before an interview, actors love last-minute touch-ups. The film is a glimpse into the life of a touch-up boy who goes unnoticed most of the time. It is a touching story about his relationship with his innocent wife, who wants his time amid her unpredictable work schedule. The film gives a subtle hint at the financial insecurity experienced by people in unstable professions. Mahadev Prasad and Sri Priya are fantastic as a pair, who become the soul of the short film.
