“The track was designed to give an indifferent vibe through a simple system. Once the tune was ready, I sent it to the Rafiq Sir about the concept and gave us the best lines,” Sriranjini, an assistant professor of the music department at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, says.

She says, “My first choice for the Sitara song. Since the track starts with lines on childhood, there was no better option than his daughter.”

Sriranjini says that their friendship with the star goes back when he competed in the young festivals representing various schools and later colleges. “But during this so-called rivalry, we became friends and now our families are close to each other. I have not chosen him for the song because of his friendship. A versatile singer, he has put some beautiful amendments in this song.”
