Crunchyroll ANIME Awards 2025: ‘Friren’, ‘Dandadan’ and ‘Solo Leveling’ leads of this year

Crunchyroll has announced candidates for the ninth annual Anime Awards, in which six standouts compete for the title Anime: Dandadon, Delicious in dungeon, Fierreen: Beyond Journey and, Cashew number 8, Solo levelingAnd Apotherassari diarys,

This year’s awards include extended eligibility, which allows any anime to qualify to be aired between October 31, 2023 and 31 December 2024. Voting is now open on the Anime Awards website and lasts till 14 April. The winners will be determined through a mixture of fan votes and input from the global panel of the judges.

The ceremony will be held on 25 May in Tokyo, Japan, and promises to be a star-staded event. Hosts Sally Amaki and John Kabira will return to lead the evening, with initial comments by Sony Group Corporation President and CEO Hiroki Totoki.

A mixture of international and Japanese celebrities is ready to present the award, including Strange things Actor Finn Wolfhard and Gatten Matrazo, Entertainers Chocolate Planet, Voice actor Kanata Hango, singer Reena Savayama, Olympic gold medalist Cloe Kim, and Vetubber IronMhouse, others. Drag artist Pablo Witar was first declared as a presenter.

Crunchyroll president Rahul Purni emphasized the importance of the awards: “Anime is emotionally deeply resonated with fans, and the biggest night of Anime’s year is certain to call for great joy and pride among the anime community – fans and creators equally.”
