Waiting for ‘orb’

“It is difficult to keep in words,” he said while describing his process. “My music is ideological, not character-driven. I write around landscapes and moments instead of motifs for characters.”
Despite increasing restlessness from fans, Ushio apologized for delay and urged them to be patient, indicating that the release is still in the tasks, but without offering a certain timidline.
‘Dandadan’ and Sampling Madness
Ushio also highlighted his attitude for composition DandadonFrom last year, the hit supernatural seanon series that concluded on its energetic, absurd action sequences. He revealed that the sample was in the heart of the score, pulling from a generous mix of sources.
He said, “I watched the 60s Yakuza films for a lot of my samples and the gangster cinema of the ’80s.”

Ushio said, “I had no idea that if he had remembered me, but I met him many times. If there is any chance to work with him in the film composition, I will like it and look forward to it.”
He also nominated Chile-American musician Nicolas Jar as one of his current favorite composers in the world. Both electronic music and film scores are known for their style-wide work-including Jacques Audiards Sorrow (2015) and Pablo Larain EMA (2019) – Jar’s approach to sound design is deeply echoed with his experimental ethos of Ushio.
However, it was Japanese DJ and manufacturer Yukimatsu, which inspired Ushio the most. Yukimatsu, a creed figure in underground electronic view, increased to international prominence after its now-a-long boiler room in Tokyo. Their travel-dazing was shifted to the existing job to pursue a full-time, avoid brain cancer and redefine the boundaries of experimental EDM.
“When I was playing live on a festival, Yukimatsu-San was singing something in the same incident I was very impressed. He is a great musician,” Ushio remembered.
Asked if he would ever consider doing the boiler room himself, Ushio hesitant.
“I am not sure I will be the right person for this, but I think I can give it a shot,” he said with laughter.
What will happen next?
Beyond its recent tasks, Ushio has a busy slate of rowed projects for the coming year.
