When asked if he was surprised that Marvel said ‘OK’ to any of the jokes, Ryan joked that all of the jokes were. Feige said, “There are so many jokes that I still can’t believe Marvel let us do. When Deadpool says to Wolverine, ‘Welcome to the MCU. You’re joining the MCU. It’s a little bit of a weak moment. It’s over the top. When Deadpool says, ‘Can we tackle the whole multiverse? It’s just miss after miss!’ I remember when Ryan and I showed Kevin Feige that scene, we were nervous about what his reaction would be. But he laughed it off. Then we realized that if it’s funny, it’s all good.”

Hugh said, “They were really great. There were times on set that I thought, ‘Oh, this is definitely not going to make it into the cut!’ Oh no! It’s in the movie!” Ryan said it was ‘shocking’ what they let them do.
