Dev Patel’s directorial debut Monkey Man received critical acclaim upon its release earlier this year. Take a look at her new cover below.

Dev Patel has had a big year with the release of his directorial debut Monkey Man. The actor has now been featured in the annual Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair magazine along with many other Hollywood stars like Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldana, Glen Powell, Zendaya and Sidney Sweeney. In the cover, Dev Patel looked extremely handsome in a brown suit and looked straight at the camera. Next to him stood Nicole Kidman, with whom he shared screen space in Garth Davis’s Lion. Nicole played his adoptive mother in the film, for which he received his first Academy Award nomination and BAFTA win in the Best Supporting Actor category.

in one Interview With the magazine, Dev opened up about making Monkey Man despite physical injuries and a challenging shooting schedule amid the lockdown. “I broke my hand on the first or second day of that shoot. I found a doctor online who was putting screws in bones in Jakarta. we managed to get one [medical] jet so that the insurance company doesn’t red flag it as a violation of our [COVID] Bubble. I came back to work the next day and we moved forward. This was a way to avoid having this cast on my hands because we wouldn’t be able to paint it. “Baptism by fire,” he said.

In Monkey Man, Dev plays an underdog street fighter who eventually becomes a vigilante superhero. His character fights against powerful and rich people who oppress Dalits and are also responsible for his mother’s death.

Monkey Man also stars Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, Shobhita Dhulipala, Ashwini Kalsekar, Aditi Kalkunthe and Makarand Deshpande in lead roles.
