Did Taylor Swift copy Kanye West when she name-checked him and Travis Kelsey in Vultures 2?

Taylor Swift and Kanye West’s tumultuous relationship is no secret from the pop world. The latest chapter in their ongoing saga came with West mentioning both Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce in his new album, Vulture 2. The rapper’s words immediately got people talking, but it was Swift’s potential response that really caught Swifties’ attention. The Cruel Summer singer is famous for her cheeky but hard-hitting jokes and fans think she may have sent a hidden message to West’s latest insult.

After releasing their much-anticipated album following constant delays, they’re back to work. ‘I got my Taylor spliffs twirled tight at the end like Travis Kelce,’ Lil Wayne raps on Kanye’s song Lifestyle (Demo).

Given her history of mentioning Taylor in her songs, it’s reasonable to assume that “Taylor” refers to Swift’s first name, while the reference to Kelsey is likely based on his position as a tight end in the NFL. Swift and Kelsey began dating last summer, and as their relationship progresses, engagement rumors are circulating.

Fans believe Taylor has already responded to Kanye’s shade

While neither the pop star nor the Kansas City player have reacted to the mention of the name, Swifties believe they have detected a subtle response. During her Eras Tour concert on August 3 in Warsaw, Poland, Swift wore a “22” shirt that read “I Bet You Think About Me.” This particular choice of shirt has sparked speculation among fans that it could be a hidden message directed at West.

The TTPD singer’s recent mention in ‘Vulture 2’ isn’t the first time Kanye has included the singer in his comeback era. He previously rapped about making ‘six Taylor Swifts’ in Vulture 1.

On the other hand, the pop star has been spotted wearing that T-shirt on stage before, and fans don’t see it as a coincidence this time. The track from her 2021 album, Red (Taylor’s Version), is widely believed to address her long-standing rivalry with Ye.

One fan commented, “She’s so funny wearing that I Bet You Think About Me shirt after Ka*ye named her and Travis in his song An Actual Comedian.” “Guys this is just Taylor’s way of responding, relax,” another said. “She doesn’t have to make a whole album to shade Kanye, just these little actions can ruin him,” a third commented.[When I] Another added: “I saw the k*nye thing a while back and I knew she was gonna wear it.”

There’s a history of ‘bad blood’ between the pop princess and the hip-hop legend. Their feud began when West infamously crashed Swift’s VMA moment. Although Swift initially responded with a message of peace in her song “Innocent,” the conflict escalated after West mentioned her in “Famous.”
