It appears that complaints of poor conditions were addressed by authorities when an “interagency operation” was conducted recently as part of “intensive efforts to improve conditions.” “This operation was pre-planned and there is no active threat,” the Bureau of Prisons said in a statement. In an effort to protect the safety of all personnel inside the facility and maintain the integrity of this operation, we are unable to provide additional information at this time. We will provide additional information after the operation,” as reported by RadarOnline.

The Bureau of Prisons is investigating the prison as part of a joint operation involving the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General and other law enforcement agencies. Investigations are being conducted to ensure the well-being of staff and inmates after repeated cases of violence have been reported at the institution. According to NY1, Uriel White died of a stab wound in custody in June, where he was awaiting trial on firearms charges.

His lawyer said, “Many courts in this district have recognized that the conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center are not suitable for pre-trial detention.”

Earlier, the mogul’s attorney, Mark Agnifilo, had said, “I think food is probably the hardest part of it (for her),” Agnifilo revealed. “Sometimes, the more you push a person down, the stronger they become.
