Singer Diljit Dosanjh on Saturday (November 2, 2024) addressed the fake ticket scam that rocked his Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024 concert in Delhi last month.
During his concert at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC) in Jaipur on Saturday, Dosanjh expressed regret over fans becoming victims of a ticket scam. “If you have been affected by a ticket scam, I apologize. We are not responsible for this. Authorities are investigating the matter,” the singer said, adding that his team had no idea what was happening. “Our tickets sold out so fast, we didn’t even realize it,” he said.

Dosanjh advised his fans to beware of such scams and buy tickets only from authorized sellers. Organized by Ripple Effect Studios and Saregama India, Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024 has partnered with Zomato Live to handle ticketing.
The singer’s twin concerts in Delhi took place on 26 October and 27 October at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. In this, the singer enthralled thousands of fans with his chart-topping tracks like “Lover”, “5 Tara”, “Do You Know”, etc. From “Udta Punjab” to “Ikk Kudi”, and many more.
Unfortunately, the concerts fell victim to black marketing of tickets. Earlier, ticket aggregation platform BookMyShow had faced trouble when tickets for British band Coldplay’s upcoming Mumbai concert were sold out within minutes on the platform, leading to black marketing of tickets at exorbitant prices.
Following the rapid sell-out, several reports emerged of individuals being defrauded through fraudulent ticket sales. Many fans discovered that they had been sold counterfeit tickets or were charged exorbitant prices for legitimate tickets. Subsequently, the Enforcement Directorate initiated an investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and conducted searches at more than 13 locations on October 25.
It is noteworthy that Dosanjh’s Delhi music festival also had to face criticism for serious mismanagement by the organisers. A fan attending the concert pointed out the lack of basic facilities, highlighted the dirty and unlit toilets available for women, and shared a worrying incident where a girl fainted in the Gold Pit, yet no one Even the employee did not come to help him initially.
In recent years, Dosanjh has crossed cultural and linguistic barriers to become one of the most prominent South Asian artists on the global stage.
