Diljit Dosanjh hits back at netizens who trolled women who cried at his concert

Singer Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour has been the talk of the town, especially since the beginning of his Indian leg in October.

His most recent performance was in Hyderabad and like always he left no stone unturned to make it special for his fans.

On Friday night, during his show, Diljit took some time out from his live singing session to call out those who trolled some of his female fans for crying at his concert.

Let us tell you, after his performance in Jaipur earlier this month, several videos of a woman crying while listening to Diljit’s music went viral on social media. However, the girl became a victim of online trolls.

Take a look at the post:

Surprisingly, last night Diljit came out in support of the woman and criticized netizens for making fun of her. She explained that it’s okay to be overwhelmed and express emotions.

“It’s okay; it’s okay to cry. Music is an emotion; it has smiles, it has dance, it has fights, it has falls, it has crying. I too have cried a lot listening to music. Only those who have emotions can cry. I got you, don’t worry about it. These girls are not only independent, but they can also earn and enjoy.” Diljeet said.

The singer said, “Inna da apamaan karare ho, tussi desh di beti da apamaan karare ho, main tenu das diya gal (You are insulting her, you are insulting the daughter of the country, I am telling you). ”

Diljit also posted a clip from his Hyderabad concert, where he can be seen asking the crowd to treat everyone with respect.

He captioned the post, “A woman who knows her worth doesn’t need validation – she shines bright enough to light her own path. Hearts-Luminati Tour Year 24.”

Meanwhile, ahead of his Hyderabad show, the Telangana government sent a legal notice to Diljit, directing him not to sing any songs promoting alcohol, drugs and violence.

The notice was issued by the District Welfare Officer, Department of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens Welfare, Rangareddy, based on the representation of a resident of Chandigarh.

“As quoted by the representative along with video evidence that you sang songs (CASE, Panchtara, Patiala Peg) promoting alcohol, drugs and violence during the live show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on 26th and 27th October Therefore, we are issuing this notice in advance to stop promoting alcohol/drugs/violence through songs in our live shows,” the notice read.
