Dosanjh, dressed in black, wearing a black turban and sunglasses, waved the national flag at the beginning of the concert. After this he saluted in front of the flag and the crowd cheered loudly.

Many people took to social media to complain about being stuck in long traffic jams while trying to reach the venue. Several videos showed long queues at the Barapula Bridge.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal was also among those stuck in the jam and had to leave his car and walk to the venue. Sharing a video on her Instagram Stories showing bumper-to-bumper traffic, Goyal wrote, “Walking the last mile to JLN Stadium for Diljit. So much traffic!” At the venue, large crowds waited for hours to enter, but the excitement was palpable.

Another fan said, “There used to be fights earlier and the same is happening today because we were not getting tickets. We had to ask some of our friends to help us get tickets.” By 100, my excitement level is 110,” said an enthusiastic concert goer.

Fans also detailed about their struggle to book tickets for their favorite singer’s concert. A concert goer said, “I struggled for nine hours on Zomato Live to get some tickets and finally I got one ticket. My girlfriend has another ticket, but she is sitting on the other side. While many were lucky enough to be a part of one of the biggest shows in recent memory, others found themselves stranded outside, unable to enter after they discovered their tickets were invalid.

Despite pleading with the organisers, they were denied entry, leaving some people angry and others heartbroken. “It was a complete waste of time to come here and was turned away by security,” said one disappointed fan.

Another said, “I came here without a ticket and met someone who sold me a fake ticket. They charged me a lot of money for this.” This will be the second consecutive date with the singer in Delhi, he added after the tickets for the first show were sold out within minutes.

Sunday’s show will also be sold out and only lounge tickets are left and they are priced between Rs 32,000 to Rs 60,000. Organized by Ripple Effect Studios and Saregama India, with Zomato live ticketing, the tour has already broken records, and has become the fastest-selling and highest-grossing concert event in Indian history.

The Delhi show marks the beginning of a 10-city tour for Dosanjh, which will take him to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata and other places before a grand finale in Guwahati on December 29.

In recent years, Dosanjh has crossed cultural and linguistic barriers and become one of the most prominent South Asian artists on the global stage. A significant moment in his journey was his 2022 performance at Coachella, where he became the first Punjabi artiste to perform at the prestigious festival.
