Mumbai: In a significant development in the direction, Nilesh Ojha, a lawyer representing his father, Satish Salian, has called for a visual entertainment of the incident and a visual entertainment with other accused with a narco test of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray.
The former manager of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died in June 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a residential high growth in the Malad region, in June 2020.
Ojha’s demand came after a meeting with Joint Commissioner of Police Laxmi Gautam, where she outlined three major requests about the investigation.
Speaking to IANS, Ojha said, “We met the United CP Lakshmi Gautam ji, and we had three major demands. First, our complaint is officially taken on records by the minister and the government. The government has confirmed before handing over to the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The process can proceed.”
He said more in detail: “Our second demand was that police security should be provided for everyone involved in this case, especially witnesses. We have stated that some individuals can be labeled as accidents, while others can be labeled as suicide.
Ojha also expressed his disappointment with the inaction of the SIT in the last 15 months.
He said, “The SIT has not done anything important. It has neither given any notice to the family, nor is it being asked to pursue any ‘visual entertainment’ – where the dance has allegedly fallen from a height of 20 feet. It should be rebuilt to prove whether the story holds any truth. We want directions for this visual entertainment,” he said.
The lawyer also emphasized the need for narco testing of major accused persons in the case.
Ojha said, “Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian has requested that an accused be tested on the accused including Aditya Thackeray. It is on him whether he agrees or not.”
Ojha further proceeded to allege that there were eyewitnesses who had seen prominent actors such as Aditya Pancholi, Dino Moriya and Aditya Thackeray, with their bodyguards, were involved in the alleged collective of celebrity manager.
He said, “We have five eyewitnesses that are ready to testify in court, but their lives are at risk, and the police should provide them with adequate protection,” he said.
The lawyer also pointed to fingers in former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, accused of trying to suppress the case.
“Param Bir Singh attempted to cover the incident. He held a press conference and claimed that Aadhaar Thakere was not on the incident, and he also said that he had seen CCTV footage. However, I want to tell that the places of mobile towers have been fully prepared for Edita Thakere, Aditya Pancholi.”
