Mumbai: Superstar Aamir Khan once again surprised fans to chew the betel leaf by sharing an unseen audition tape in a police uniform. A rejected audition clip for “missing ladies” shows the actor’s ever -seen side before.
While Bhumika did not make it on the big screen, the video has increased the enthusiasm among fans, who are fascinated by Aamir’s spontaneous change.
Aamir’s new YouTube channel, “Aamir Khan Talkies,” shared a video, where Kiran Rao revealed that Aamir was originally to play the role of a policeman named Shyam Manohar in the film, who later went to Ravi Kishan.

In this audition clip, Aamir can be seen performing a scene from the film. In the video, ‘PK’ actors appear as a police inspector, chewing a betel nut distributing their lines in a separate rural pronunciation. A police uniform in the audition clip features a signature characteristics of Aamir, sleek-back hair sporting and paan chewing pan-character.
Sitting behind a desk, he distributes lines from the film, using different ways and body language to shape Shyam Manohar’s role. The reel also includes some entertaining blueores, which offer a glimpse in Aamir’s creative process.
Director Kiran Rao had earlier revealed that Aamir was initially eager to portray Shyam Manohar and even auditioned for part.
However, after looking at Ravi Kishan’s screen test, he realized that Kishan was a better fit and stepped aside, so that he could play the role.
Earlier, Aamir Khan recalled humorly and said how Kiran rejects him for the role, “I wanted to play the police in the film and even did a screen test, but he did not give me. I was really eager to take the character, and honestly, I think my test was really well.
In IIFA 2025, “missing Ladies” acquired 10 trophies, including the best supportive actor for Ravi Kishan.
