Enforcement (ED), Chennai Zonal Office’s Directorate of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 under the provisions of prevention of 2002, Film Director and Producer S. Three immovable properties worth ₹ 10.11 crore registered in the name of Shankar have been provided.
This was done on Monday (February 17, 2025) by the provisional incorporated central agency.
The ED started an investigation on May 19, 2011 on the basis of a complaint filed against Shri Shankar before the 13th Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai. The ED said that its investigation has revealed that Shri Shankar received sufficient remuneration of .5 11.5 crore for his versatile contribution.
