The couple have settled in the Cotswolds, a beautiful area of ​​the English countryside known for its hills, historic buildings and charming villages. The area spans six counties: Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Wiltshire, and its peaceful setting has attracted many celebrities to live there, as People magazine reported.

Victoria and David Beckham

The couple, married for 25 years, bought their home in the Cotswolds for $7.7 million on December 16, and it’s located near the celeb-loved Soho farmhouse. According to House Beautiful, Beckham reportedly renovated the place after purchasing it and created his recurring residence, which includes a garden, pool, sauna, football pitch, spa, and treehouse.

In a 2023 Netflix documentary titled Beckham, the football star explained the reason behind purchasing his home in a quiet location. “I wanted a place where we could escape,” he said. As soon as I go to the countryside, I usually turn up in my full country getup. And I have a stick, and I walk around.” As he walked out into his lush courtyard, he said, “I’ll sit here, drink a cup of coffee.”

Kate Moss

During Moss’ interview with The Times in 2023, she shared about her wealth at her Cotswolds home in Oxfordshire. The British supermodel revealed her love of rural life and how she spends her time taking “moon baths” on her property or using the garden to “charge” her crystals. Moss also revealed that “there’s a secret place in the middle of a lot of fields and only villagers are allowed to use it” where she goes to enjoy “wild swimming”. Photos of the great room show a freestanding clawfoot bathtub, two vanities with sinks, and a leather couch next to what looks like a toilet.

According to The Guardian, the famous artist purchased his 19th-century home, Toddington Manor in Gloucestershire, for $3.8 million in 2005. He planned to restore it and make it his family home with a private art gallery for his work. However, his renovation plans faced criticism from locals as the house remained untouched for years without any progress.

Before Hearst purchased it, the manor had been “thinning” for years and is currently listed on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register.

Apart from this celeb affair, The Guardian reported that former British Prime Minister David Cameron and English TV presenter and journalist Jeremy Clarkson also reportedly live in neighboring villages in Oxfordshire. Clarkson gives a glimpse into life on his farm in the Cotswolds through his Amazon Prime series Clarkson Farm.

British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley used to have a house in the Cotswolds, but she sold it for $11.3 million and moved to the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. Blur’s bassist Alex James owns a farm in the Cotswolds, where he organizes an annual event called the Big Festival, featuring food and music. Additionally, King Charles’s estate, Highgrove House, is located in Gloucestershire.
