According to a new news story, Manhattan-based law firm Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks, the go-to legal firm for top musicians like Lady Gaga, The Weeknd and Usher, has reportedly cut ties with disgraced hip-hop legend Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Lady Gaga is not keeping a “poker face,” revealing her bitter hatred for Diddy, who is mired in multiple allegations of sexual assault, trafficking and more. According to a new report by Paula Frolich for NewsNation, GSM&S has dropped its longtime client Diddy due to “The Edge of Glory” hitmaker’s ultimatum.
“Lady Gaga said she’s leaving [the firm] If they don’t fire Diddy. And she’s too big to lose,” the insider told the media outlet.

New York law firm fires Diddy over fears of damaging relationships with Lady Gaga and other top clients
Fearing that his “telephone” could be closed with more A-list exits following a potential “bad romance” with Lady Gaga, the NYC law firm dropped Combs, whom they had represented for more than 20 years.
In addition, renowned lawyer Allen Grubman was also friends with the “Bad Boy,” who eventually fell from his ivory tower as more unflattering and nasty headlines about his alleged misconduct took over the news. The report further revealed that Grubman, the first practicing attorney to join the firm in November 2022, also stayed at Diddy’s Hamptons residence.

At this point, the firm likely values Gaga more than Diddy, whose dark fame story exposed the ugly truth behind the glossy world of stardom. Last week, Combs also wiped his Instagram feed clean, where he previously posted an “apology” video to garner netizens’ sympathy after CNN uncovered the suppressed footage in early 2016. It perfectly displayed his brutal assault on his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, as detailed in his 2023 lawsuit that was withdrawn just days after it was filed.
To avoid saying goodbye to Lady Gaga from its illustrious client roster, which would prompt other artists to split from the firm, GSM&S reportedly ended its relationship with Combs.
Other highly popular artists on GSM&S’ client list include Madonna, Drake, Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Lil Nas X and U2.
Earlier this month, New York Mayor Eric Adams urged the infamous artist to return the key to the city after video emerged of him attacking Cassie.
