These hardships shaped his identity and taught him powerful lessons. “The pain and experiences of my past are a permanent part of my identity and inspire my vision for my future,” says Karan. “That anger fuels my creativity; As I grow as an artist, those feelings remain essential to my music and self-expression.

Karan, who started writing at a young age, reflects on whether he now considers himself a better writer or singer. “I feel like I have grown in both areas. They complement each other, enhance each other in my music,” he shared.

He gained fame and recognition after moving to Canada and composed most of his music in Canada before moving to Dubai in 2023. Karan explains how his music balances Punjabi roots with international influences: “It’s about staying true to yourself while embracing new genres. Living in Canada and now Dubai, I have been exposed to diverse music, which I blend with my cultural background. My songs are extremely personal, drawn from my own experiences, and I incorporate global sounds into my productions. This allows me to create music that resonates with a wide audience without losing my Punjabi identity.
