Mumbai: Panth-Classic Anurag Kashyap’s director ‘Gangs of Vasipur’ has been scheduled to complete 13 years in June, but shocks on Fandum Landscape were felt on Tuesday, as the influential Khan family of Wasipur had a reunion of three generations.
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently took a picture in his Instagram Stories section, and shared a picture, which featured himself, national award -winning actor Manoj Bajpayee and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Jaideep shared the picture again on his Instagram stories, and wrote, “Father’s, Dada Ka, Saba”.
In ‘Gangs of Waspur’, Jaideep played the role of Shahid Khan, the patron of the Khan family. Manoj played the role of Sardar Khan, whose sole purpose is to avenge the murder of his father, Shahid Khan with Ramjir Singh.
However, by the end of the 1 part, the chieftain is badly shot as a part of the plot by Ramjir’s henchmen. Sardar’s son, Faizal Khan (appealed by Nawaz) attempts to avenge the killings of his father and grandfather with Ramjir Singh (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia).
The film replaced the tide for Anurag Kashyap after the film caught a series of films in controversies, and either saw limited release in theaters, stopped from release, or received only significant response to his release. His films gained prominence on illegal downloads from Torrents and Pirated sites.
Fan-following, which Anurag ‘Dev. D.’ Farming after its release, brought the audience to theater during the release of ‘Gau’. However, the content of the film lies in Bihar, made a magic on the audience, and in a short time, it received a strong word in the mouth. The film is the biggest commercial hit of Kashyap, and triggered the revival of the style of parallel films in India.
The film has since achieved a cult since then, and has made Kashyap a poster of Indie cinema in India.
Meanwhile, Anurag recently revealed that he was changing his base in the southern states as his creative voice continues under the corporateness of Hindi cinema.
