What happens when a man who has been hiding a secret for many years decides to bare his soul to someone? uaa game Ragasyam Param Ragasyam Explored the psychology of those who reveal secrets.

The property owner Manjunath (Manoharan) is on a flight, which is about to crash. There is a dark chapter in his life, and he wants to free himself of the burden for someone before he dies. Luckily, sitting next to him on the plane is a Catholic priest, Father Murphy (Ravi Raghavendra). Manjunath confesses to his father that he is a murderer. However, the plane does not crash and Manjunath loses his mental peace. To add to her worries, Father Murphy arrives at her door. Manjunath’s eldest son Ramji (DSR), his daughter-in-law Prabha (Madhuvanti) and property manager Raja (Sureshwar) all have their own secrets.

This play, which had a serious underlying theme, had a lot of humor. For example, Mahesh (Y.G. Mahendra) attributes his irritation to being pricked by a gramophone needle instead of an injection needle during vaccination. Suppini played the role of Ganesha, who cannot say Appalam, but instead says ‘Abalam’. Suppini’s father says that despite swallowing the agarbatti stand, his son is safe because the agarbatti stand is always a banana in their house. The LED visual backdrop specially designed for the Golden Jubilee show by Kalai Ravi was imaginative, reflecting the grandeur of a majestic estate bungalow.

Ragasyam It was an enjoyable play. The story and dialogues were by Venkat and direction by YGM.

The play was inaugurated at Mylapore Fine Arts in 1975, and its golden jubilee show was also held at the same venue.

Playwright Venkat says that Bombay Kannan introduced him to UAA. “That was a time when amateur troupes like ours had to face many challenges. Although professional stage actors like TK Shanmugam were busy doing films, he did not leave the stage completely. Therefore, our script must be good to get the grade. We had set a benchmark for comedy, as Molly had written many comedy scripts for us. It was only when Mauli was gone that Venkat came up with a promising script,” says ARS (AR Srinivasan), who directed the play in its initial years and also played the role of Father Murphy.

Suppini says, “ARS was very good at editing. There was a scene where YGM calls a barber to teach me music. We also rehearsed that scene, which was very funny, but ARS dropped it because they felt the play was too long.

Ragasyam Marked the stage debut of Venkat. “I have heard college students discussing the play, not knowing that their fellow passengers on the bus were its playwrights. When an executive visited the bank where I worked, he spent more time talking to me than other senior employees, simply because Ragasyam,” He says.

Mahendra, who has many precious memories to share about the drama, says, “K. Balachander liked the jokes about Abbalam and Agarbatti stand so much that he included them in his film. Apoorva RagangalMuthuraman was keen to adapt Ragasyam On the screen. He also had a list of people he wanted to cast in the film. Unfortunately, he died shortly after meeting us,” says Mahendra.

Over the years, different actors have played different roles in the drama. Suppini has played the same role the entire time, and has probably only missed 15 shows. Mahendra has always played the role of young Mahesh, including in the recent Swarna Jayanti show. He is now 75 years old, but when he came on stage he received a warm welcome from the audience.
