Potterheads were overjoyed to see Rupert Grint and Afshan Azad together after two decades, and Ron has yet to ask Padma to dance with him.
Harry Potter fans were in for a pleasant surprise a few days ago when Rupert Grint (who played Ron Weasley) and Afshan Azad (who played Padma Patil) reunited after 20 years! Afshan shared a photo of the two on Instagram, along with a cute picture of the two of them from that infamous Yule Ball scene from the Harry Potter movie. Padma and Ron are reunited
On Instagram, Afshan shared a picture of Rupert standing next to her and smiling. The second picture is taken from the sets of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, showing how the two looked when they played Ron and Padma. So what has changed over the years? In the caption, Afshan replied, “Padma and Ron reunited after 20+ years. Oh how becoming parents has changed us all. P.S. he still hasn’t asked me to dance.”
The actor was referring to the scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in which Ron invites Padma to the Yule Ball, but it doesn’t end well as Ron refuses to dance with her.
