Ryan Reynolds has shared a deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine, hinting at the return of Gambit, played by Channing Tatum in the film.

Ryan Reynolds, who played a key role in bringing Channing and Gambit to his friend’s Marvel film, has shared deleted footage from the film on social media. Deleted scenes
Ryan shared the deleted scene on his Instagram handle on Tuesday with the caption, “*whispers* Marvel sparkle circle #deadpoolandwolverine (red and yellow heart emoji) @slaveydirect @channingtatum #gambit *A version of this sequence is in the film, playing on a monitor in the deep background of the TVA.” As Ryan said, the scene technically appears in the film, but on a monitor in the Time Variance Authority’s office in the first half, which is not clearly visible to the naked eye.
In the video, Gambit is seen walking into the vault, where the corpses of villains are scattered about. He then turns and smiles as a time travel portal appears in his pupils. Ryan has referred to these portals as “Marvel Sparkle Circles” in the film. Although the removal of this scene has added to the uncertainty, it certainly fuels the excitement of those who have been waiting for a Gambit spin-off or at least Channing’s return as the beloved character in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
Channing Tatum’s response
An excited Channing also commented on Ryan’s post, “(eyes emoji) heeheehee! (black spade emoji) Laissez les bon temps rouler! Let the times roll Cher!” Instagram users also showed their excitement in the comments section. One of them wrote, “He’s about to make a name for himself in Secret Wars.” Another commented, “Do you know how long he’s been waiting for this?” “Aaaah …
Channing Tatum has been trying to get a Gambit movie greenlit at 21st Century Fox for several years. His appearance as Gambit in Shawn Levy’s recent blockbuster has led to speculation about his return, either in a potential spin-off or as a character in a future X-Men film or the Russo Brothers’ take on Avengers: Secret Wars.
