Payne was trying to escape through the balcony

A source with direct knowledge of the situation told the news outlet that Payne did not like being locked in hotel rooms as he had to deal with during his days in One Direction. The singer was apparently using the balcony of his hotel room to escape as he had done so before and made the most recent attempt in mid-September.

The insider further revealed that during the previous incident, the Bedroom Floor singer’s bodyguard knew he was under the influence of drugs and forced him to stay inside the Florida rental home. He then escaped from the balcony and used a garden hose to reach the ground.

According to TMZ, screenshots from the surveillance camera of the Casasur Palermo hotel showed that Payne, who was behaving disruptively and appeared intoxicated, was taken to his hotel room by three staff members after being found in the lobby. He was conscious and resisted going inside the room. Once inside, hotel staff used a master key to lock it down.

According to the police report, the hotel also removed a mirror from the wall outside his room to prevent it from getting damaged. A few minutes later, the singer tragically died.

Apparently, Payne told a hotel employee that he would use the balcony as a means of escaping the room. Following this statement, the employee called 911 to report that Payne may have used the balcony and accidentally hurt himself. “I don’t know if his life could be in danger,” the employee said, according to the 911 transcript. He’s in the room with the balcony, and, well, we’re a little scared…”

It appears that he was conscious when he fell to his death as he had a bag slung over his shoulder which was not there when Payne was in the lobby. Police also found a hat on or near his body, suggesting he had worn it in his room.

Hotel responsible for Payne’s death?

It appears the Strip That Down singer was trying to get from a third-floor balcony to a second-floor balcony, and was planning to jump to the ground below. This theory is supported by a police report which states that two days after his death, a hotel employee found a brown leather bag on the second-floor balcony below his room, with “For Liam” written on it. Was.

The bag, which contained pills and a bottle of Jack Daniels, was later confirmed to be Payne’s. It seems that he may have dropped the bag on the lower balcony before trying to jump himself.

The coroner’s report suggests that Payne may have been unconscious when he fell, but it is clear that he was conscious when he first strapped the bag over his shoulder, walked toward the balcony, and possibly planned his escape.

A source with direct knowledge suggested to the outlet that Argentine authorities are trying to protect the hotel by focusing on three individuals – a friend, a waiter and a hotel employee – who are accused of supplying drugs to Payne. There is an allegation. The source believes the hotel is responsible for protecting hotel property rather than prioritizing concerns about noise in the lobby and ensuring the singer’s safety.
