'I'm going...': 50 Cent breaks silence on Trump's victory after rejecting $3 million offer to perform at rally, faces criticism

50 Cent has come under fire for congratulating President-elect Donald Trump on his election victory. Earlier, the rapper had turned down a multimillion-dollar invitation to attend Trump’s campaign rally.

In July, 50 Cent paid tribute to Trump after surviving an assassination attempt. During his performance in Boston, he added Trump’s face to his “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” album cover.

After Trump won a second term in the White House as the 47th President of the United States, 50 Cent posted two throwback photos of the two on Instagram on Wednesday.

“I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m going with the winner. I still don’t know what’s going on 🤦 Congratulations!” he wrote in the caption before tagging his alcohol brands.

‘Why did you have to post this?’: Netizens ask 50 Cent

Responding to his Instagram post, one critic commented: “*removes every 50 Cent song from my playlist*.”

“Brothers hate their own kind,” shouted another dissident.

“Please name one thing you expect him to do that will benefit black people. And tell me how you will feel when he gives immunity to cops who kill unarmed black people. I’ll wait,” a third person wrote in the comments section.

Expressing disappointment, a netizen asked: “Why did you have to post this?”, while also reminding her that “you said you were staying out of politics.”

During his appearance on “The Breakfast Club”, 50 Cent said he rejected a $3 million offer to attend Trump’s lavish event at Madison Square in New York City last month.

When the artist was asked if she had also received a payment offer to perform at the Republican National Convention in July, she nodded and responded, “Mmm”.

He stressed that the talks did not go ‘very far’ because he was ‘afraid of politics.’

Later in July, 50 Cent paid tribute to Trump after surviving an assassination attempt. During his performance in Boston, he added Trump’s face to his “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” album cover.

After defeating Kamala Harris in one of the most spectacular comebacks in American political history, Trump congratulated his supporters and called it a “resounding victory for the American people.” Additionally, he mentioned the July 13 assassination attempt and said, “God spared my life for a reason”.
