Mumbai: After India’s historic victory in the Asia Cup final on Sunday, Bollywood celebrities, including Mamooty, Anupam Kher, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor and others, congratulated the Indian cricket team on their social media platforms.
Taking on his X handle, actor Mamooty appreciated the Indian cricket team for playing like a champion.
“Team India not just won the Asia Cup, they were owned by it. Champion without a single defeat. Absolutely brilliant! (Blue Heart and Trophy Emojis),” Mammooty wrote.

Anupam also shared his excitement through a post on Instagram. In the clip, he repeatedly punched his fist in the air and said, “Bharat Mata ki Jai! What is Butt (Wow)! What is the game! Oh my God. Jeet will win brother.
He also said, “Happy heart. What Bolun Main (I am very happy. What do I say?). I am proud of my country, this cricket team is proud. Played fantastic, very well. God bless them.” He also threw his chest and kissed the video. Anupam wrote in the caption, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai (Hell India)!
Preity Zinta also congratulated the Indian cricket team and thanked Tilak Verma, Shivam Dub and Kuldeep Yadav for their role in victory.

Janhvi Kapoor and Varun, who were in a program promoting their film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, made happy for India.
Janhvi shared an Instagram post, in which Varun Dhawan teased her earlier comment to involve India in a Janamashtami event.
He said to Janhvi, “One more thing, Abi Tum is really Bol Sakti (one more thing, you can actually say this now).”
Meanwhile, Suryakumar -led Team India continued their rampaging run in T20Is, won 18 T20i and dropped only two and tied two as it first wore a captain armband.
Kuldeep Yadav (4/30) sent Pakistan to a shocking collapse, from 113/1 to 146, Sahibzada Farhan (57 in 38 balls with 57, five fours and three sixes) and Fakhar Zaman (46 in 35 balls with 46, two fours and two sixes).
