Tamil filmmaker Halitha Shameem’s long-in-the-making passion project, Minmini‘Dangal’ is all set to release in August, the makers announced on Saturday.
Taking to her social media handles, Halitha thanked Tentakotta and Simmba Productions, who are bringing the film to theatres.
Minminiwhose shooting began in 2016 after his first feature film Poovarasam PPHalitha had said that postponing the shooting was a creative decision as she wanted the film’s child actors to grow up and play grown-up versions of their characters, rather than hiring adult actors.
After further postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Minmini Its post-production will be completed in 2023 and now it is ready to release in theatres.
The film’s cast includes Gaurav Kalai, Praveen Kishore and Esther Anil Drishyam And Papanasam The film stars singer Khatija Rahman, daughter of A.R. Rahman, in the lead role, who is making her debut as a music composer.
Minmini It is shot by Manoj Paramahansa, who has also produced the film along with R Murali Krishnan.
