Inside Out 2 has set another record for the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
Pixar Animation Studios is celebrating as its latest release Inside Out 2 has achieved a new milestone of being the highest-grossing animated film of all time. The animated film received great acclaim from audiences around the world, which also means that viewers from different countries loved the spirit of the relay. The film also brought in more viewers to theaters after a slow start earlier this summer.

Inside Out 2 reaches historic milestone
As per the Walt Disney Company report, Inside Out 2 grossed $1.46 billion at the worldwide box office and surpassed the 2019 Disney film Frozen II. The sequel to the 2015 film once again shows Riley’s emotions as anxiety, depression and other new feelings appear in her mind for the first time. “Inside Out 2 is a quintessential Pixar film and it’s amazing to see how it has connected so deeply with people around the world,” said Alan Bergman, co-chairman of Disney Entertainment. He added, “We knew it was truly special, but no one could have predicted it would reach these record-breaking heights. We are grateful to all the fans who have made this the biggest animated film of all time.”
Pixar celebrated the achievement with a post on X and expressed gratitude, writing, “We are overwhelmed with joy! Thank you to every fan around the world for making Inside Out 2 the greatest animated film ever made.”
The animated film has also made it to the 13th highest-grossing film of all time globally and garnered massive praise along with $600 million domestically. The film opened to tremendous numbers at the box office as it grossed $1 million within 19 days of its release. It is also the highest-grossing film of all time and will cross the 1 billion mark by 2024.

Other animated films on the list of top 10 animated films of all time
Inside Out 2 topped the list, while before that Frozen II grossed $1.451 billion after its release in 2019. The film is now at number two, followed by the Super Mario Bros movie from production houses Illumination and Universal, which grossed $1.361 billion at the box office, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Other films include the first part of Frozen which grossed $1.274 billion, Pixar Studios’ Incredibles 2 which grossed $1.242 billion, Illumination’s Minions which grossed $1.157 billion, Toy Story 4 which grossed $1.072 billion, Despicable Me 3 which grossed $1.032 billion, and Finding Dory which grossed $1 billion.
Seven of the top 10 films were produced by either Pixar or Walt Disney Animated Studios.
