The 52nd International Emmy Awards, held in New York, celebrated the best television programming produced outside the United States in 2023. The event, hosted by Emmy-winning Indian comedian Vir Das, featured nominees from 21 countries across 14 categories.

However, this award went to Apple TV drops of god ,Les Gottes De Dieu), a French-American-Japanese production. The series, based on the manga by Tadashi Agee and Shu Okimoto, explores a high-stakes competition for an inheritance tied to a famous wine collection, with themes of family dynamics and trauma.
Whereas night manager Missed, its nomination was seen as an important recognition of Indian storytelling on the global stage. Showrunner Sandeep Modi had earlier described the honor as “a huge milestone” for Indian creators.
In other highlights, Timothy Spall won Best Performance by an Actor for his role in sixth commandmentand Aokbab-chutimon Chuengcharoensukying received the award for Best Performance by an Actress hungerwon the comedy category division palermoA satirical Argentine series that blends humor with social commentary.
This award went to the Arts Programming category pianoforteWhereas Brawn: the impossible Formula 1 story Won Sports Documentary. Other notable winners include Tabby McTat For children: animation and Liebes Kind (dear child) For TV Movie/Mini-Series.
Vir Das, the first Indian to host the International Emmys, brought his signature wit to the event. He reflected on the importance of the awards and highlighted the shared experiences of creators around the world. She also wore a dress designed by Delhi-based designer Shubhangi Bajpayee, which she chose from a public call earlier this year to showcase the work of new Indian designers.
