Tel Aviv: Oscar-winner Israel-Filistine’s documentary “No other land,” co-director Hamdan Ballal was allegedly attacked in the West Bank occupied by Israeli settlers and said Israeli soldiers said their colleagues Yawal Abraham and other Nekus.
According to the diversity, Abraham claimed that Ball was injured and was bleeding from his head before the soldiers attacked his ambulance and took him away.
Taking his X handle, Abraham wrote, “Our film ‘No Other Land’ co-director, a group of Hamdan Ballal’s settlers defeated him. They defeated him and suffered injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. The soldiers invaded the ambulance that they called, and no signal since then.”

According to CNN, Abraham himself did not witness the incident.
The Oscar Awardee ‘No Other Land’ documentary co-director Basal Adra also recalled the incident to CNN when he went to West Bank village in Susaya in response to Ballal’s call of distress.
CNN said, “There was a group of Israeli settling outside Ballal’s house, some of which were throwing stones. Israeli police and army were also outside the house, and Israeli soldiers were firing at any person who tried to shut down.”
According to the outlet, the Israeli army stated that it had come on a “violent confrontation” scene between Palestinians and Israelis who were throwing rocks at each other. It said that many terrorists hurt rocks on Israeli citizens, a battle broke after damaging their vehicles. ”
Three Palestinians and an Israeli were then taken for questioning after throwing rocks at security forces by “many terrorists”, as quoted by CNN.
The alleged attack did not win the Academy Award for the best documentary for ‘Koi other land’. On the stage, directors Abraham, Ballal, Basel Adra and Rachel Szor highlighted a call for action for the destruction in Gaza.
‘Koi other land’ follows a Palestinian family living in the West Bank as their house is destroyed by the Israeli government and they face displacement.
But amidst strict circumstances, Adra and Abraham, an Israeli journalist, create an unexpected friendship and work together to document the story.
