English actress Jameela Jamil steps into Hollywood amid the increasing use of weight loss drugs. The Good Place actress, who has struggled with anorexia in the past, took to social media on Thursday to criticize “the era of Ozzypic heroin chic.” She shared a video of herself enjoying food while dancing in the water in a black swimsuit.

Jameela Jamil turns to Hollywood to promote Ozympic culture

“May I find the strength to continue the good work my industry has done to my mind throughout 2025, during this era of Ozzypic Heroin Chic,” the 38-year-old actress wrote in a video shared on Instagram. “I would rather leave this industry than be dragged back into it,” she said.

The scathing post also included a photo of herself “pretending to eat chocolate” at the “height” of her “anorexia” battle. “Pretend to be happy. Pretend I’m not going to faint,” Jamil added. In the throwback picture, the Love at First Sight star can be seen smiling sheepishly while holding a chocolate in her hand.

Jamil questioned, “What are we teaching children?” Referring to the toxic body-shaming culture fueled by weight-loss drugs. She commented, “The amount of people in my industry trying to go from slim to super skinny, ultimately achieving the obedient wife physique to fit into the standard sample size…it’s hard to watch.”

“Especially for those of us who have struggled with eating disorders. “Who are they really doing this for?” The Poker Face actress stepped forward. “I am planning to sit out this cycle. The curves will come back. They always do this. Then they will go away again. Then come back. I’m not playing with my brain, my heart, my bone density or my metabolism for a trend. You can’t be left behind in a loop,” she added.
