Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP MLA Bharat Shetty has spoken to protect actress Rashmika Mandan after the dangers made by Congress MLA Ravi Ravi Kumar Gowda.

Shetty criticized the use of the name of Rashamika for political gains, calling some members within the Congress party for their “goonda” (thugs) behavior.

“There are some goon elements in the Congress party. Taking the name of the Rashmika to get some fame. No one of the country has the right to come to any program or to come to any program. It is not right for politicians who come out in the open and people who threaten him in this way. Those who are going to protect are very wrong. It is very wrong.”

Her comments come in response to the growing situation in which Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna was subjected to public threats from some political figures.

On 9 March, members of the Kodav community voiced their concerns over the security of the actress following a controversial statement by Congress MLA Ravikumar Gowda Ganiga.

In an interview on 3 March, Gowda said that Rashmika Mandanna refused to attend the international film festival after “a lesson should be taught”, stating that she did not know “where Karnataka is” and was very busy to participate in the event.

His comments have widely criticized, many people have questioned individual attacks on Mandanna’s professional options.

Gowda further claimed that an MLA visited Mandanna’s house several times to invite him to the event, but refused to comment on teaching him a lesson.

This comment raised not only fans of Mandanna, but also members of his community, especially from the Kodwa community, in which he is.

Kodava National Council President, Nu Nachappa strongly condemned the comments, emphasizing Mandanna’s achievements and his contribution to Indian cinema.

“Rashmika Mandanna, who comes from the Swadeshi Kodava tribe, has achieved his success through hard work and dedication. He should not be subject to such harassment,” he said.

She also expressed concern that the person unfamiliar with the nature of artistic criticism was unnecessarily targeting the actress.

In response to dangers, Kodav National Council has given Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Karnataka State Home Minister. Presented a formal letter to God, seeking immediate steps to ensure safety and safety of Rashmika Mandanna and other women of the Kodava community.

The letter also confirmed Mandanna’s right to take personal and professional decisions without fear of vengeance.

The letter stated, “She is not just a great actress, but a person with the right to make her choice. No one should be forced to be in accordance with others’ expectations or instructions.”

On the professional front, Rashmika Mandanna was recently seen in films, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ and ‘Chhawa’.

He also has a promising slate of upcoming films, including ‘Alexander’ with Salman Khan, ‘Kubera’ with Dhanush and ‘Thama’ starring Ayushman Khurrana.
