When we think of Keira Knightley, our minds automatically associate her with Elizabeth Swann. Pirates of the Caribbean Film franchise. She has been a part of the popular film series since 2003. However, does Keira want to be like Elizabeth Swann again? It appears the answer is an adamant no. Speaking on the matter, Keira Knightley said, “It’s a strange thing when you have something that is making you and breaking you at the same time. Because of him I was considered useless, and yet because he did such a good job I was given the opportunity to do films for which I received Oscar nominations. Those were the most successful films I’ve ever been a part of, and that’s why I was publicly removed. So they’re a very confusing place in my mind.”
Highlighting the long hours of shooting, Keira Knightley said, “The hours are crazy. These are years of your life, you have no control over where you are filming, how long you are filming, what you are filming.” He spoke candidly during an interview with london time,
Keira Knightley further said that she has decided not to sign any project involving a multi-film franchise. She reached the conscious choice after welcoming two daughters – Delilah and Edie – with her husband, musician James Righton. “I can no longer go from job to job (abroad). I wouldn’t be fair to them in any way, and I wouldn’t want to be. I chose to have kids, I chose to raise them, so I had to take a big step back,” she explained.
In another segment, Keira Knightley revealed that over the years she has rejected many films on certain subjects. The actress said, “I wanted it to be more pure entertainment and maybe that’s because I need it. I keep being presented with things about children dying or mothers dying. Can’t do this.”
