Kelly Clarkson’s recent weight loss journey has been the subject of much discussion. This happened in a very short period of time, and fans also rushed to know the secret of her weight loss. Many people also speculated that the singer might be taking some weight loss medication. In a surprise twist, Clarkson herself addressed the rumors by admitting to using the weight-loss drug. However, he stressed that it was not the popular drug Ozempic.

The 41-year-old surprised many when she successfully lost more than 41 pounds in 2023. Her remarkable weight loss journey gave rise to speculation, including rumors about her use of Ozempic. Addressing these rumors on a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show with Whoopi Goldberg, the talk show host shared her experience, admitting that she relied on a weight-loss drug prescribed by her doctor, but definitely Not on what people thought.

Praising Goldberg, Clarkson said, “Every time I walk in you look younger! You’re like Benjamin Button. It’s crazy every time you walk in!” The EGOT winner told her it’s all about the weight loss, adding that she “almost lost two people.” The 68-year-old added, “I’ve been doing this amazing shot that works for people who need some help, and it’s been really good for me.” Clarkson wasted no time in sharing her weight loss experience after making it clear that her journey was different than many people’s perception.

“My doctor followed me for two years, and I said, ‘No, I’m scared of it. I already have thyroid problems. Everyone thinks it’s Ozempic, but it’s not. It’s something else. Is.” the Catch My Breath singer said.

Kelly Clarkson explained that she is using a drug to help her body process sugar more effectively. He stressed that it was not the popular diabetes drug Ozempic, which works by controlling hunger hormones in the brain. “I don’t take Ozempic,” she said, referring to a prescription drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for type 2 diabetes.

This isn’t the first time the American Idol winner has denied Ozempic’s claims. Also in January, in an interview with People, the mother of two opened up about her mental health issues and the factors that led to such a drastic change in her. At the time, she revealed how she spends her free time walking around the city with her kids. Clarkson also discussed her protein-rich diet and said she has started listening to her doctor more.

“I eat a healthy mix. I lost weight because I listened to my doctor – I hadn’t done that for a few years. And 90 percent of the time I’m really good at it because the protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I love meat – sorry, vegans in the world!
