Four friends tied with a love cinema got together and took a step close to their cinema dreams when they founded a collective banger farm films of independent filmmakers. Arvind Babu (Director/Cinematographer), Christie Albi (Cinematographer), Jackson Cyril (Director) and Vighnesh Bhaskar (Director), who met in Neo Film School, Kochi, brought out the music band Lef II RITE to study filmmaking, his first, independent project, one music video ‘rest day’. The video uploaded on YouTube 13 days ago was about 1.3million scene.
At a time when rap (or anything in Malayalam) seems to be a favorite medium of expression for musicians in Kerala, Banger Farm films decided to go to English Rock Music Route with The Love Bailad. Lef II riot is a five-tukra glam metal band from Kochi. This collaboration came when the Banger Farm manufacturers picked the concept/story (to build around the Debut Single of Lef II riot) for the band, which they liked and the project continued.

The music video is shot stylishly, the scene has set the mood of the song. However, whatever separates it is that it is in English and it is not rap or Malayalam rock, which has much more. The video travels with the hero as he deal with the absence of his lover – with his memories of his time while torturing his loneliness.
“With this music video we want to create a platform for the music band. However, music is not our only attention, we are in films, advertisements and everything else that do as a collective of filmmakers,” Vighnesh says. They hope to start a wave of collaborations where music and cinema intersect. Incidentally Jackson, Christie and Arvind’s film Echo of silence The recently concluded international documentary and Idssfk of Kerala were selected.
