Kriti also made a notable point about the broader role of the audience and media in perpetuating nepotism and suggested that Bollywood alone cannot be held responsible. He said, ‘I think the industry is not that responsible for nepotism. This is also the media and the audience. The audience wants to see what the media is saying about some star kids. Because the audience is interested in them, the industry feels that since the audience is interested, let’s make a film with them.

He further stressed, “So I think it’s a cycle. But I think if you’re talented you’ll get there. If you’re not talented, and if you don’t have a connection with the audience, you’re not going to get there.”
