Chinese martial arts star Sunny Pang, who recently shared the screen with Hollywood star Tom Hardy in “Havok”, is set to step into Indian cinema with “Lakadbaga 2 – The Monkey Business”.
Pang is known for playing the role of a counterpart in Netflix’s action film headshot, officially premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2017.
Ansuman said, “I loved Sunny Sir’s work in the headshot. It was a dream to work with him, let him match alone in a fight. Sunny Pang brings the legacy of real, versel action with him. Lakadbaga 2 does not just have a casting victory – this is a statement.
‘Lakadbaghgha 2’ is ready to be a fighter spectacle, in which pangs and pangs are attached to the duel with an intense hand. The two actors flew to Bangkok to train with the action team behind the franchise – Keccha Kamfakade and Jia Stunts.
Sunny Pang said, “This is my first time working on an Indian film, and the level of respect and passion I have experienced here is incredible. Lakadbagha2 (The Monkey Business) is not just another action film – this is a story with the soul, a fight with the purpose. At its core, it chases animal rights, and that mission gives every punch, every kick, a deep meaning. It is not easy to make a raw, real, grounded, martial arts film. ,
Pang said that Anusuman carried forward this franchise from the heart, and the entire team’s dedication is at the next level.
He said: “Our training in Bangkok to shoot in Indonesia – this is an intensive, unforgettable journey for me. And I am really honored to contribute to this animal lover Vigilant universe. One thing is certain – we are not catching anything.”
Lakadbagagha 2 is undergoing production with shooting in Kolkata and West Java in Indonesia.
