The transgender actress, who previously believed that Kamala Harris’s victory would make the entire community safer due to her pro-LGBTQQT stance in stark contrast to Trump-Vance’s stance, is now of the opinion that this alignment is not just a coincidence. Speaking to Variety, he asserted that the increase in attacks on LGBTQQT individuals has coincided with a systematic attack on reproductive rights, with a particular focus on transgender individuals.
“I am scared, and I am especially scared because I am a public figure. I feel like I might be targeted,” she said. Cox noted how Trump’s campaign “spent nearly $100 million on anti-trans ads.” “This is extremely worrying,” she added. She then began discussing how, with some friends, she is researching various European cities for a possible move, to a place where it is a haven for trans people. “We’re researching different cities in Europe and the Caribbean.”

Laverne Cox on ‘hoarding’ estrogen
Cox expressed his concerns regarding the potential shortage of hormone replacement therapy (HRT). She explained that many trans individuals, including herself, depend on HRT not only for their transition but also for their overall health. Stopping HRT can lead to serious health complications such as hot flashes.
They expressed concerns about the future availability of HRT, especially given increasing demand and potential supply chain disruptions. “But, yes, I’m going to rack up a bunch of estrogen. It’s a little more difficult for trans men because testosterone is a controlled substance. But there are online resources,” she added.
