In a now-viral TikTok video, Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio was seen leaving a hotel in Nadi on November 20 as staff lined up to perform the traditional farewell ceremony. Dressed in a dark cap, tracksuit and sunglasses, the actor seemed to ignore the cultural farewell as he entered the lobby. Without pausing for a moment, DiCaprio took out his phone and started the conversation. Then he quickly put his head down before running towards the waiting car.
Fans were questioning his behavior, with some expressing disappointment. One fan commented, “He didn’t even acknowledge the welcome,” while another wrote, “At least a quick wave or thank you would have been nice.” Many felt his lack of acknowledgment was disrespectful to Fijian tradition.
