The BLACKPINK star opened up about the thrill of stepping out on her own in front of a billboard, admitting she felt “scared and nervous” at first. But now? She is having the best time of her life. And for those wondering about the group, Lisa dropped some exciting news: The group is already planning a big comeback for 2025.
Lisa reveals how her solo career is treating her
“At first, I was scared and nervous because I’d never really come here to do my job,” she told Billboard, before lowering her voice as if sharing a secret, “and Now I’m having fun,” she gushed, adding that fans’ reactions have been the biggest boost to her confidence so far. “When [my singles] Came out, the fan reaction—it’s healing me. It’s like, ‘Oh my God. Yes—I did a great job!’”
Lisa started her solo journey in 2021 with hit songs like Lalisa and Money and in June 2024, she stepped up her game with a rock-n-rolly single called Rockstar. This release marked his first release as part of a new solo era under RCA Records. Through a partnership with her company LLOUD, Lisa gained ownership of her master recordings, which was a huge step in her career. She then released two more singles, teamed up with Rosalía for New Woman in August, and dropped Moonlight Floor in October.

The Celine ambassador clarified that her goal is not to build a business empire or involve other artists in her newly opened agency LLOUD, a path often associated with stars like Rihanna or Beyoncé. Instead, she sees her company as a personal “safe zone” focused solely on supporting her own artistic journey. His focus right now is simple and grounded: working on new music and achieving his goals one year at a time.

Lisa confirms BLACKPINK’s comeback
The Billboard chart-topper confirmed that BLACKPINK is set to reunite in 2025, echoing an announcement from YG earlier this year. While YG also hinted at an upcoming tour, Lisa is a little unsure about that part. “I can’t wait,” she says with excitement, though details of the reunion are uncertain.
YG had previously announced both a comeback and a world tour for the group, but when the tour was brought up to Lisa, she narrowed her eyes and replied, “That’s what they say?”

BLACKPINK’s four members, Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo, had previously decided to part ways with YG Entertainment, the label under which they debuted, while maintaining their group contract with the agency. Jennie founded her own label, Lisa formed LLOUD, Jisoo formed BLISOO, and Rosé signed a management contract with The Black Label in June 2024.
“We know each other very well and understand how much energy we have to put into every single project,” Lisa said, reflecting on the bond each BLACKPINK member shares despite pursuing their solo careers.
