Hindu minorities in the erstwhile East Pakistan faced inhuman atrocities and are still facing discrimination. It is important to bring history forward and learn it. Cinema is a good medium to explore such forgotten subjects and bring them before people. I congratulate the makers and the actors of this film and extend my best wishes for its successful run across the country and the world and appeal to everyone to watch it.”
Directed by Vijay Yelakanti and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory, ‘Maa Kali’ exposes the untold stories of atrocities against Hindu minorities in East Pakistan after the Direct Action Day. The history-focused film with Abhishek Singh’s compelling performance has garnered widespread praise from critics and audiences alike.
Abhishek Singh, who earlier rose to fame for his work in the web series ‘Delhi Crime’ and chartbuster songs like ‘Yaad Aati Hai’ and ‘Kaali Kaali Zulfo Ke’, continues to impress as an actor. His latest venture reaffirms his commitment towards meaningful cinema.
