Prayagraj: Indian cine actor Sunil Shetty on Monday appealed to Hindus to participate in the Parliament of Religions organized by spiritual leader and Bhagwat Katha speaker Devkinandan Thakurji Maharaj at the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

In the self-made video, Shetty said the main objective of the Parliament is to push for a Sanatan Board responsible for the protection of Hindu temples, ‘gurukulas’ and ‘gaushalas’.

The actor said, “A historic moment awaits at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh; crores of people will unite in devotion to Sanatan Dharma on January 27 under the guidance of a movement for the establishment of the Sanatan Board.”

He said, “This is to protect our temples, Gurukuls and Gaushalas, so let us come together with devotion and commitment; join us at ‘Shanti Seva Camp Prayagraj’.”

BJP MP Hema Malini also said that Dharma Sansad is being organized under the leadership of Devaki Nandan Thakur ji to discuss the formation of Sanatan Board and protection of Sanatan Dharma.
