A village hosted a talent hunting incident on the hub of Movmking in the Naga-Basla hills of Manipur, which has raised the hopes of its inhabitants for a film center promised in 2019.
Many of the 3,000 people in Ringui have been making films and music and staging plays since the 1980s, a hill Tangkhul Naga village in Ukharul district. It earned Ringui, about 60 km north -east from Imphal, the capital of Manipur, “Bollywood’s Bollywood” tag.

On 16 March, the village organized the Grand Finale of the Got Talent (RGT) in Ringui, which was detected to actors, dancers, singers and other performing artists. It was the 10th edition of the incident, but expands its scope to cover the state, underlining the ability of villagers to shine through difficult stages- the impact of an ethnic struggle over Manipur since May 2023.
One reason behind flexibility was that Ringui’s creative journey began when Nagaland (NSCN) was in the headlines of extremism by the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN). Ringui is close to Somdal, the general secretary of the NSCN’s ISCN’s ISCN, Thuigeng Muiva.
66 -year -old Amipam Zimik, the first actor of Ringui, said, “I am thrilled that RGT has reached the state level.

The first film director and producer of the village said, “Talent, creativity and moving in the fields of film industry reflects the progress of our society, village and people. It prouds me to see how far the RGT is and the bright future,” 68 -year -old Aamang Ahmang, the first film director and producer of the village said.
Zanmei Makang, Kennies Khuraijam, and Machunreiliu Phaomei- All singers-RGT10 emerged as the top three among 19 artists, organized by a ringui-based outfit, Dewdrops. The organizers stated that they would be provided opportunities to participate in major events in Manipur and in addition to help for the progress of their career.
Ms. Makung was the first contestant from Ringui village since the fourth season of RGT a decade ago. She and other participants were judged by Streella Luvang, Miss Femina 2023’s second runner-up, Songshim Rungsung, Mr. Friendship International 2022’s second runner-up, singer James Riami, and Sorechan Nakedi, who runs a school of music.

“Cultural artists of our village represented the state in various programs across India since the 1950s. The Passion to Express led a creative movement with the first music album and first feature film in 1985 in 1985, which was titled.
