Some time ago Manisha had shared pictures of her meeting with the Prime Minister on Instagram.

“It was an honor to be invited to 10 Downing Street to celebrate 100 years of United Kingdom-Nepal relations and our Friendship Treaty. It was wonderful to hear Prime Minister @rishisunakmp speak affectionately about our country #Nepal. It was a pleasure. I accepted it.” Manisha wrote in the caption, “Freedom to invite the Prime Minister and his family to visit Everest Base Camp.”

He also expressed happiness to know how most of the people present during the meeting watched his latest release ‘Heeramandi’.

She added, “Can you believe that the majority of people in attendance watched #heeramandionnetflix and loved it? I was thrilled.”

Meanwhile, on the acting front, Manisha is receiving appreciation for her role as Mallika Jaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series ‘Heeramandi’.

A few days ago, in a long note on Instagram, Manisha shared her journey of resuming work after battling ovarian cancer, playing a pivotal character in a gorgeous period drama and getting her due as a female actor thanks to streamers. Described.

The note read, “Heeramandi has been a significant milestone. As a 53-year-old actor who has landed a pivotal role in a high-profile web series, I am very happy that I am not tied down to playing insignificant peripheral roles, thanks to OTT platforms and the changing audience profiles. Finally, women actors, technicians and other professionals have started getting the long-awaited and good quality work and respect in the professional environment.”

She further added, “Today, when I am receiving so many compliments, I can’t stop myself from remembering the doubts and anxiety that haunted me when I was about to start shooting. Now Will my body be strong enough to deal with the intense shooting schedule, heavy costumes and jewellery, and playing a role that requires a lot of nuance and effortless effort?

He also shared the challenges he faced while performing particular scenes.

Manisha further added, “The fountain sequence was the most physically challenging. It required me to remain immersed in a water fountain for over 12 hours. It tested my stamina! However, Sanjay had thoughtfully ensured that The water remained warm and clean, but after a few hours the water became dirty (because my team members, cinematographer and art director were getting into the water for the scene), every pore of my body got drenched in that dirty water. Although I was completely exhausted by the end of the shoot, I felt a deep joy in my heart and remained resilient. I knew that I had passed an important physical test. Have taken.”
